What is Supporters of Children in Need (SOCIN)?

Supporters of Children in Need (SOCIN) is a 501c3 certified nonprofit and an award-winning charity that supports underprivileged children across the world with the most basic human necessities such as food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, and education. We look to help Children affected by poverty, political or environmental displacement, disease, illiteracy, etc. We strongly believe Children are our future, they are innocent and need our help with their basic needs.

How will I receive a tax receipt for my donation(s)?

If you make a donation online, you will receive confirmation via email within 24 hours if requested. If you do not see the confirmation email in your inbox, please make sure to check your spam or junk mail folder. If you donate via mail or phone, you will receive a thank you letter and tax receipt via postal mail within a few weeks if requested. Donors making multiple donations throughout the year can request a summary statement of all their contributions to SOCIN that can be requested and used as your tax receipt. Another option Donors have is to use their monthly bank or credit card statements for your records. For specific, tax-related questions about your charitable giving, we encourage you to contact your tax advisor.

Can I donate if I live outside the United States?

Yes, but we only accept donations in U.S. dollars. If you live outside the US, your donation will be charged/made in US dollars, and you will receive a mailed acknowledgment from Supporters of Children in Need (SOCIN) if requested. These contributions are tax-deductible in the US. However, if you live outside the US, you will need to consult with your tax advisor to determine if it is tax deductible in your country.
